Under Milk Wood
Internationally acclaimed for its eccentricity and widely admired for its lovelorn lyricism, Dylan Thomas’s groundbreaking 1954 ‘play for voices’, Under Milk Wood, has long echoed in the imagination of the founding father of British Pop Art, Sir Peter Blake. An obsession that has spanned almost thirty years, this ‘greenleaved sermon on the innocence of men’ has consequently filled the spaces of Blake’s studio. It has also played and replayed on broadcast recordings, and prompted several pilgrimages to Thomas’s creative refuge at Laugharne, Carmarthenshire.
This portfolio of six signed, limited edition prints is a selection of Blake’s most poignant images taken from the series. They are all available to purchase separately, for £834 each.
Also available is Blake’s de luxe book, which contains the signed original print The Sailors’ Arms.
