A man searching for peace returns to the sea, because of many childhood summers spent by the ocean. John Banville’s Booker Prize-winning novel, The Sea, was adapted into a film starring Natascha McElhone in 2013. Banville crafted the screenplay, exclusively published in this limited edition. Introduced by the author, this screenplay reveals new sides to the work, including extensive screen directions. Each copy is specially printed, hand-bound and slipcased and has been signed by John Banville.

John Banville was born in Wexford, Ireland, in 1945, and now lives in Dublin. He is the author of nineteen novels including The Sea. He was awarded the Booker Prize in 2005 and subsequently won the Franz Kafka Prize.
